Ontario Energy Board Announces New Electricity Rates
The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) has announced new Regulated Price Plan (RPP) rates effective January 1, 2021. The RPP prices have been lowered to reflect a significant change in the cost of supplying electricity to RPP customers. In addition to the time of use and tiered prices, the Ontario Energy Rebate will also be decreased to 21.2% down from 33.2%. The OEB expects the typical residential customer bills to be held stable by both changes.
