The AffordAbility Fund Trust has announced that it will be stopping the intake of applications effective July 31, 2020. After this date, it will continue to process and fulfill applications for those who have applied online by the deadline, but will no longer be accepting any more in-bound calls, nor would it roll back any applications for additional measures from that date forward.

The AffordAbilty Fund was set up to help Ontarians who pay an electricity bill ease what they spend on electricity. The Fund gives out free energy-saving kits to residential customers who qualify for Level 1 to help them save energy around their home. These kits include things like LED lightbulbs, smart power bars, faucet aerators and more. Based on income and the price of your electricity bills, customers may qualify for Level 2, which includes an in-home visit from a professional Home Energy Advisor, a Home Energy Plan and upgrades that may include ENERGY STAR® appliances. Only electrically heated homes qualify for Level 3, and those customers may receive an in-home visit from a professional Home Energy Advisor, a Home Energy Plan and upgrades that may include insulation and/or an ENERGY STAR® heat pump.

NPEI is encouraging customers to take advantage of this program while they still can. Submit your application before July 31, 2020!
