Alert
Unfortunately, we are not able to proceed with your registration if you do not have the power to enter your company into a legally binding agreement with Niagara Peninsula Energy.
It is recommended that you contact a qualified electrical contractor to confirm your requirements. Once confirmed, if your service requires an upgrade to meet the needs of your EV charger, submit a service upgrade request online by completing a Service Request.
To find a list of licensed electrical contractors in your area, use the ESA’s contractor locator tool.
The customer may complete a preliminary consultation by completing this form.
The customer needs to submit a connection request by completing our Service Request form.
NPEI will review the submission to ensure all information is complete.
Once NPEI has reviewed the information and it has been determined that an EV installation necessitates any modification or addition to NPEI’s distribution system, NPEI will provide an Offer to Connect.
For more information regarding an Offer to Connect, please see our Conditions of Service.
The customer will develop and construct the EV installation. If required, NPEI will perform the necessary modifications to our distribution system to accommodate the connection. Once both parties complete all of the required work and a connection authorization from the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) is received, NPEI will connect the project.
For detailed information regarding Electric Vehicle Charging Connection Procedures (EVCCP) please see Appendix 5.5 in our Conditions of Service.
