Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc. (NPEI) is thrilled to announce the success of our recent eBill campaign, which raised $43,870 for the Niagara SCPA and Humane Society. This initiative highlights NPEI’s ongoing commitment to support our communities and to promote sustainable practices.

The campaign, which ran from September 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024, encouraged customers to switch to paperless billing, with NPEI pledging to donate $10 to the Niagara SPCA and Humane Society for every customer who made the switch. The funds raised will help the Humane Society provide critical care, shelter, and adoption services to animals in need.

“It was wonderful to hear that the staff at NPEI had chosen the Niagara SPCA & Humane Society to receive the amazing support generated from the eBill campaign this year,” said Amelia Canto, CEO of Niagara SPCA and Humane Society. “We are so very thankful for the contribution, especially this year, with the increased need to find forever homes for the pets in our shelters.”

Brian Wilkie, President and CEO of NPEI, emphasized NPEI’s commitment to making a positive impact. “As we are a local utility, we believe in supporting our communities. This campaign is a perfect example of how small actions—like choosing eBills—can add up to make a big difference. We’re proud to support the Niagara SPCA and Humane Society in their mission to care for and protect vulnerable animals.”

In addition to supporting the humane society, the eBill campaign also encouraged environmental sustainability by reducing paper waste.
