Commercial Electricity Rates
COMMERCIAL ELECTRICITY RATES:
Summer small business electricity rates begin on May 1, 2024 and will be in place until October 31, 2024.
Winter small business electricity rates begin November 1, 2024 and will be in place until April 30, 2025. Effective November 1, 2024, the Ontario Electricity Rebate will also change, from 19.3% to 13.1%.
Small Business electricity customers are able to choose a rate plan that best suits their lifestyle and household energy needs by giving them the option of choosing between Time-of-Use, Tiered or Ultra-Low Overnight rates. Learn more about Customer Choice.

The electricity rates charged to residential customers of Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc. are set by the Ontario Energy Board (OEB). In general, the rates set by the OEB recover two types of costs - the cost of generating the electricity and the cost of delivering the electricity to your residence.
